DAVID CHAMBERS
Rugby Development Officer
David joined Queen’s Sport in 2018 from Ulster Rugby where he previously served as Community Sports Development Officer. In his role as Rugby Development Officer at Queen’s, Davy oversees all rugby activity at Queen’s, including our Active Campus, Development and Performance pathways in both the men’s and women’s game. He is also an active coach within the club set-up and has even been spotted taking the field in Blue in recent seasons.

GAVAN DUFFY
GAA Development Officer
Gavan joined Queen’s Sport in 2019 as GAA Development Officer. The Rossa club man is a renowned hurling coach having helped his club to Antrim and Ulster Championships, as well as All-Ireland representation in recent years. He has coached at inter-county level and is a former Fitzgibbon hurler with Queen’s. Gavan manages the Sean O’Neill GAA Academy and has secured corporate partnerships with a range of local businesses including The Points.

CHLOE McILWAINE
Hockey Development Officer
Chloe was appointed to the role of Hockey Development Officer in 2019 having previously held a variety of roles at Queen’s Sport. Having played for Queen’s 2nd XI and winning Junior 1, McConnell Shield and Irish Junior Cup, Chloe is well aware of the demands of University Hockey. Chloe’s role ranges from recruiting Elite Athletes for the hockey academy to sustaining participation at all levels of hockey. A retired hockey player, Chloe has represented Ulster in Hockey and Rugby and currently plays for Malone Rugby Club in East Belfast.

RUAIRI TAYLOR
Soccer Development Officer
Ruairi was appointed to the role of Soccer Development Officer in 2019 after many years in different roles within Queen’s Sport. He originally came to Queen’s to work on the Steve Redgrave Community Sport Programme after returning from Australia. Since then he worked for many years in the role of Sport Development Assistant while helping to establish Soccer as an Academy Sport at Queen’s. Ruairi has coached the QUB Collingwood Cup team for the past three seasons, reaching the final on home soil in 2018.

CONOR CALDWELL
Performance Sport Assistant
Conor took up his current role with Queen’s Sport in late 2019 hvaing previously served as GAA Development Officer and GAA Participation Officer. The Naomh Una club man was formerly the student club Chair at Queen’s GAA and was awarded the Cormac McAnallen Medal in 2013 for his services to the club. Conor has coached Fresher, Sigerson, and O’Connor Cup Gaelic Football for nearly a decade at Queen’s.
